I coded my first computer game when I was eleven—just one level, but that small victory sparked a lifelong love for building, problem-solving, and design. Years later, when I created a website for my own creative business, that same thrill kicked in. I became obsessed with the details: tweaking layouts, testing strategies, and fine-tuning every element until it was both functional and beautiful.

Before starting Milk Parlor, I worked in marketing and branding, helping creative businesses connect with their audiences in meaningful ways. Along the way, I began designing websites for small businesses—ranging from well-known illustrators to major wholesalers. That’s when I saw firsthand how a thoughtful, strategically designed website can be a game-changer for growth.

How it works

A clear, supportive process for a high-converting website.

1. Clarity Call

We’ll start with a 30-minute call to talk through your vision, goals, and what you need from your website. I’ll walk you through the process, answer your questions, and if we’re a great fit, I’ll send a proposal your way. Once you’re booked, we’ll lock in your spot on my design calendar.

2. Guided Content Prep

You’ll get a welcome packet with everything you need to gather and create your website content—copywriting guides, a branding questionnaire, and links to quality image sources. Everything lives in your Notion client portal, so you’ll always know what’s next.

3. Brand Direction

After receiving your content, I’ll create a polished brand system for your site, including a wordmark logo, color palette, and font pairings. You’ll have 2 rounds of revisions to ensure everything looks cohesive, professional, and aligned with your vision.

4. Homepage Design

I’ll design your homepage first, using your approved branding and content. This sets the tone for the rest of the site, giving us a solid foundation before we move forward. You’ll get two rounds of revisions to make sure everything feels right.

5. Full Website Build

With your homepage finalized, I’ll design the rest of your site, ensuring a smooth, easy-to-navigate experience across every page. Your site will be mobile-friendly, optimized for usability, and include essential SEO features like meta descriptions and image alt-text to improve visibility.

6. Launch + Support

Once your site is live, we’ll hop on a call to walk through everything together. You’ll also get access to a library of training videos and a two-week tech support period where I’ll be available for troubleshooting and questions. After that, I’ll send over a post-launch guide with resources to help you confidently manage and grow your site moving forward.

  • I take on only 1 or 2 website projects each month, which allows me time to give your brand focused attention and a faster turnaround. Because of this, I recommend reaching out at least 3 months in advance of your launch, but the best way to check my current availability is by filling out the inquiry form.

  • Your input is essential in making sure your website aligns with your brand and speaks to your audience. At the start, you'll complete a branding questionnaire, gather your images and assets, and write your copy (with the help of my copywriting guides). If you’d rather not handle copywriting yourself, check out the next FAQ for options.

    Once designs are ready, you’ll provide feedback at key points—these review windows will be outlined at the start of the project so you’ll know exactly when to be available. By the time we launch, your website will feel completely aligned with your vision and ready to support your business.

  • The time needed to prepare your content depends on the size of your site and how comfortable you are with writing. Most clients spend about 2–4 weeks on this phase. You’ll receive conversion-focused copywriting guides for your Home, Services, About, and Contact pages to help streamline the process. If you’d rather not write your own copy, I offer copywriting services as an add-on.

    You’ll also need to gather high-quality images to give your site a polished, professional feel. If you don’t have brand photos yet, I’ll provide you with links to high-end stock image libraries that I use and love. OR I can curate those stock images for you as an add-on service. That said, I strongly recommend having at least 1–2 professional-level photos of you for a more personal touch.

    Since content informs design, your website’s design phase can’t begin until all final content is submitted. This ensures everything flows seamlessly and avoids last-minute changes that could delay the process. I know this part takes work, but I’m here to support you every step of the way!

  • I do accept custom projects on a case-by-case basis. If you already have established branding (logos, color palettes, and/or typefaces), I’d love to hear more! I’ll review your existing branding to ensure it aligns with web best practices and accessibility standards. Fill out my contact form, and we can chat about whether we’re a good fit!

  • Absolutely. All websites are designed to be responsive, ensuring they look and function beautifully on desktops and smartphones.

  • Definitely! One of the main reasons I design on Squarespace is to ensure you have full ownership of your site and the ability to make updates yourself. I’ll provide you with training so you feel confident adding and editing content as your business evolves. My goal is for you to feel empowered to manage your website independently—but if you ever need help with updates down the line, I’m available for ad hoc support as needed.

  • Yes. Packages are divided into 3 payments:

    • 34% non-refundable deposit at booking

    • 33% at beginning of design period

    • 33% at the established project launch

  • In addition to my design services, here are a few things to factor into your budget:

    • Squarespace Plan: I recommend at least the Business plan, which is a recurring expense for as long as your site is live. (As a client, you’ll receive a 20% discount on your first year.)

    • Domain: If you purchase your domain through Squarespace, the first year is free. After that, it will renew annually.

    • Privacy Policy & Terms: Most countries require websites to disclose how they collect and use visitor data. You can write this yourself, but for full legal protection, I recommend using Termageddon.

    • Email Service Provider: If you want to collect leads or send email campaigns, you’ll need an email marketing platform like Squarespace Email, Flodesk, or Mailchimp. If you already have one, we can integrate it seamlessly into your site.

    • Additional Features: If your site requires premium plugins, third-party tools, or custom integrations, we’ll discuss any extra costs upfront so there are no surprises.

  • Your website will be built on Squarespace. I use Squarespace because it’s user-friendly, reliable, and gives you complete ownership over your site, making it easy for you to manage and update content as needed. Plus, with its built-in features and customizable design options, we can create a beautiful, professional website that truly reflects your brand.
